Torsemide: Inhibits Na⁺-K⁺-2Cl⁻ symporter in the thick ascending loop of Henle → potent diuresis & Na⁺ excretion.

Spironolactone: Blocks aldosterone receptors in the distal tubule & collecting duct → inhibits Na⁺ reabsorption & prevents K⁺ loss.

Used In CKD and CHF Patients

In resistant edema (cardiac, hepatic cirrhosis, nephrotic syndrome), high aldosterone levels reduce loop diuretic efficacy (“aldosterone escape”).

Adding Spironolactone restores diuretic response and improves fluid removal.

Dosage: Available in oral Tablet form. Once Daily
